Frances was called to the bar in 1998 after obtaining her law degree at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and a further degree at the University of New Brunswick. Since 2000, Frances has practiced Family Law and Civil Litigation in the Region of Peel. Frances has appeared before all levels of court except the Supreme Court of Canada, and has conducted trials and appeals in both Family Law and Civil Litigation. Frances is a former President of the Peel Law Association, and currently sits on the Executive of the County and District Law Presidents Association. She is Vice-Chair of the Board of LibraryCo and is a member of the Advocates' Society. Frances sits as a Dispute Resolution Officer in the Region of Peel as well as a Deputy Judge of the Small Claims Court.
